Our Offerings
At Penrose Prep, we offer two main areas of support, each designed to help students become stronger, more confident writers and applicants.
Whether your child is preparing college applications or working on essays for school, our one-on-one coaching meets them where they are and helps them move forward with purpose.
College Applications
Guiding students through every step of the college admissions process
1:1 College Essay Coaching
We work with students on their personal statements, supplemental essays, and UC/coalition prompts. Whether your student is starting from scratch or stuck in the middle of a draft, we help them find their voice and bring their ideas to life.
College Counseling
From school list strategy to timelines, deadlines, and application planning, we offer personalized guidance to help students stay on track and make informed choices.
Offline Essay Review
For students who prefer independent drafting, we also offer offline feedback, giving detailed, thoughtful notes on essays and supplements to help move each draft forward.
Activity Lists & Resumes
We help students organize their achievements, extracurriculars, and leadership experiences into clear, compelling activity sections and resumes that support the story their application is telling.
Writing Support for Grades 3-12
Helping students build strong writing skills from the ground up

At Penrose Prep, we believe great writing starts with great thinking. Our writing support is tailored to your child’s grade level, learning style, and goals.
We offer personalized coaching in both academic and creative writing, from paragraph structure and grammar to essays, narratives, and passion projects.
